For the rest of my life I’ll never understand how the Orange Man (that’s right, I don’t dignify him with his name) convinced so many to be so willfully ignorant about his mountain high pile of felony crimes, corruptions, anti-democratic attacks, as well as his many blatant breaches of the public trust.
The fact that his loud and clear calls for authoritarianism and theocracy appeal to the same people who used to champion conserving the constitution (which literally was a defection from those exact things) is absolutely stupid and asinine.
It might make a little sense that people became so enamored if he were even the least bit charming and eloquent, but instead he’s just such an arrogant simpleton, and an obviously horrible human being that doesn’t demonstrate any good religious or ethical values at all. It’s all truly such an embarrassment for this country.
And no, I’m not someone who has consumed only one side of mainstream media. I use my own eyes and ears. I wish more were doing the same. I have “Tr**p Derangement Syndrome” they’ll say but that’s a hilarious projection, the real derangement is the trance his supporters are in.
