Well it’s looking like Christmas around our apartment, but it’s not outside. The snow we got a couple weeks ago is all gone and it hasn’t snowed since. The weatherman is saying we aren’t going to get much snow this winter, so that could be good. However, it kind of sucks not to have the snow for Christmas, i’m sure we’ll get a ton of snow in like March when we totally don’t want it. But anyway, we’re looking forward to Christmas. In just a week Jeremy and Randy are coming down to go with me to the Disturbed/Stone Sour/Chevelle concert in St. Paul, i’m getting really excited about that as I haven’t seen them in so long. We’ve had our Christmas tree up since the day before Thanksgiving, it’s just starting to get presents under it finally as you can see in the pictures above, which I took today. I still haven’t done my Christmas shopping, but that will hopefully take place this upcoming week. This upcoming week is also my last week of school for the quarter. Jimmy Jingle, the vending machine company which contracts at my school, is making the machines free on Tuesday so i’m going to go hog wild with that. It’s just coffee and fountain pop though, the candy machine isn’t free. They’d probably have all the bums coming in taking it all. What’s up with the bums in Minneapolis anyway? You hardly ever see them out and about all summer long, and then during the winter they are everywhere walking around begging for money. Lizzie’s theory is that they are able to get jobs during the summer, but can’t in the winter. When I first moved here i’d usually give them a dollar when they’d ask, even though I knew damn well they were just spending it on alcohol or cigarettes. Now I don’t even carry cash anymore so that I don’t do that. I just carry my debit card around with me everywhere I go, it seems like the safest way. With checks they have a bunch of information on you to use if they’re identity theives. Or they could just use the info on my checks to order some checks for themselves for my account, making my stop payment a waste of time. With a debit card, all they have is this 16-digit number and my name, something that can be deactivated immediately and I can easily just get a new card with a new number and not have to worry about closing my checking account because they don’t have the information to do anything with it. And cash, I just don’t carry that because i’m more likely to spend that and even give it away to all the bums out on the streets… Well enough of my ranting for today. Thanks for listening. Talk to you later. Happy Holidays!
