Here’s what kind of week it’s been: one day I get court papers in the mail notifying me that i’m being sued for $5,800, the next day I start getting a cold. The workload is piling up to the point that I haven’t been sleeping hardly at night, which i’m sure has contributed to my getting a cold. Who gets a cold in the middle of the summer, anyway? Me I guess. I’m all congested and I have a stinging headache that won’t go away. Congestion I don’t mind – there’s something cathartic and satisfying about disposing of the glot, preferably as noisy as possible. No, it’s the fuzziness I hate. The inability to get your brain out of neutral. The desire for a nap at 8:33 AM. It’s going to be a long week. Hopefully I can get rid of this by Saturday, as i’m supposed to be going to Valleyfair. The weather has been just gross lately, and I hope it cleans up a bit for Saturday. It’s been so humid and hot that it just hits you like a brick wall when you walk outside. It’s not so much the heat, the humidity is insane. I think it may have contributed to my cold. But who knows why I have a cold, and who really cares. I just need to get rid of it.
So like I said, got some court papers in the mail. It annoyed me at first, but i’m not sweating it anymore. I’m just going to file my counterclaim, show up on August 27th, tell my story and I think it’ll be okay. I’m not going to discuss it any further, not until it’s all over anyway. Don’t want to say the wrong thing or and end up being quoted in a court room saying something I shouldn’t have. In case you don’t know it’s in regards to a car accident that occured back in May. No, it wasn’t my fault.
I’m getting really behind on homework and I have some freelance projects in the works that are being delayed. Not to mention I feel like someone has shot me in the head with the most enormous gun in the world. Or maybe it was a missle. Or even more appropriate would be that an atom bomb exploded in my head. Lizzie’s cooking me up a batch of homemade chicken noodle soup. What would I do without her.
Meanwhile i’m working on homework, and am gung ho on freelance projects tonight. I have about 6 hours worth of work ahead of me tonight, and I don’t even think that will be enough to get it all done. So i’m going to cut this short rather than babble on further. I’ll let you know how Valleyfair goes, it should be fun. Randy (my best friend from high school) and Jeremy (my older brother) are coming down to go along. So it’ll be fun, as long as this cold doesn’t spoil it.
